AGTA Spectrum 2017 Ricardo Basta Winning Rings
Every summer, AGTA (American Gem Trade Association) holds the AGTA Spectrum Awards, a competition for jewelers who work with natural colored gemstones. Considered the finest jewelry and gemstone competition in the world, any win is an immense honor.
This year we're excited to announce that Ricardo Basta Fine Jewelry won not just one award, but 3! Our "Double the Love" Zircon and Diamond heart ring took 1st place in the Bridal Wear category, sponsored by The Knot.
About the "Double the Love ring": 18-karat white gold and rhodium ring featuring a 12.62-carat heart-shaped blue zircon accented with a 0.75-carat heart-shaped diamond and 1.53 carats of diamond pave.
Our "Estrella" starburst trapiche sapphire ring took 1st place in the Men's category. Made with 18-karat yellow gold with black rhodium, the “Estrella" ring features a 7.50-carat starburst trapiche sapphire accented with 0.64 carats of black diamonds and 0.52 carats of yellow sapphire accents. Our "Blue Lagoon" ring, featuring blue Zircon and pave set Diamonds in a splash formation going down the top of the ring took Manufacturing Honors in the Classical category. Set in 18K yellow and rhodium, this ring features a 13.99 ct. cushion-cut blue Zircon accented with Diamond melee (1.32 ctw.)
